Responsibility
  • Plan, project manage and implement network engineering projects
  • Configure switches, router, firewall and antenna within core and access network
  • Work closely with infrastructure team to design and setup building coverage
  • Proactively monitor the core production network infrastructure and support systems to ensure continuous service delivery to customers and optimal network performance.
  • Make suggestions and proposals to the management on operational improvement involving workflow.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the detailed documentation of the engineering required for proper operations.
  • Ensure operational processes and procedures are ITSM compliant.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of internal workflows.
  • Ensuring escalation procedures are carried out in the correct manner.
  • Managing existing network equipment lifecycle including network capacity planning, network improvement, preventive maintenance, network migration and decommissioning of equipment.
  • Drafting and preparing Incident Reports and Reports for Outage in timely manner.
  • Ensuring all reports, such as Monthly Reports, RFOs and Incident Reports is submitted in timely manner.
  • To provide full support to NOC & engineers.
  • To ensure that engineering meets all deliverables and SLA targets.
  • IP addresses management (IPv4 & IPv6).
  • To involve in MyIX meetings & events.
  • To provide full support to Product & Sales work group on all NEW network planning
Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent applicable experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in related field
  • Strong analytical; skills and has a flair for dealing with technical and operational problems.
  • Good interpersonal skills and fluent in communication.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to creatively evolve the network using unconventional methods.
  • Possess experience in ISP environment will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as within teams required.
  • Ability to work off working hour whenever necessary.
  • Formal IT qualification Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a must. Candidate with CCNP/CCDP is highly preferred
